Life is just...HECTIC! I don't know how else to describe it. But I do want to answer a few questions I've gotten.
First off, we live in a smaller midwest area and we aren't offered lawyers appointed by the court here, well basically if you aren't in jail you won't get one from the state.
Second, I have checked with EVERY lawyer in the phone book and there is no one who will take a child custody case pro bono. Just won't happen. I've tried.
So with that answered, we are still working on raising money and am SOOO thankful for those few who have donated. Expect something in the mail from us soon :)
On the baby front I am doing good. Still have to wait until Oct. 8th to hopefully find out the sex of the baby. I do feel him moving more which is a good sign.

- My son was recently diagnosed with a heart abnormality and we are waiting for the results of tests to determine when he will need open heart surgery. PLEASE PRAY FOR BABY DAVID!!! This is the 3rd time in 3 years I've been pregnant. I've suffered a miscarriage and infant loss. I pray this pregnancy is healthy and perfect.

I was suggesting your husband show up in California at the hearing with no lawyer, explain that he can't afford a lawyer and maybe they would suggest a lawyer that worked pro bono/or someone who had a sliding scale fee.
It would be a lot better showing up by himself then not showing up at all, guarenteed, I used to work for a Family Law attorney.
We've spoken with many lawyers who have told us since we are residents of another state we need to get it changed here with lawyers in our area. I even talked to some CA lawyers who won't even do anything because we are out of state. It's so frustrating! But thanks for the advice :)
